Winter Woodland Christmas Mantle

in Christmas, Christmas decor on 15/11/17

This post is sponsored by Hobby Lobby.  As always, these ideas and styling are my own!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and I am so excited to decorate our home for the holidays. Since we moved into our home a few years ago, we’ve slowly added new holiday decorations each year to our holiday collection. My style tends to gravitate towards the rustic natural accents versus traditional red and green Christmas decor and I love how everything is coming together.

Beautiful Winter Mantle

I headed off to Hobby Lobby to stock up on a few goodies since they have their Christmas stuff 50% off. I can’t pass up a good deal!

Beautiful holiday decor

Here’s how the mantle looked after I took down all my fall decor. It definitely needed some “sprucing” up. Sometimes this space can be challenging because the mantle is around 22″ deep so I have to be creative when I try to fill up the space.

Plain mantle

Usually I pick a focal point to start with and when I came across this believe sign I fell in love with the rustic background and glitter word art. I decided to prop it up on some small 2×4 blocks from my garage so that the sign would be lifted and more visible after I added on the stockings.

Because my mantle doesn’t have any finishing trim, when I hang stocking with stocking holders, they hang too low over the fireplace. To remedy this problem, I use simple command hooks to attach the stockings to the mantle at the right height. (As a side note, we don’t actually fill these stockings that hang from our fireplace, these are purely for looks.) I use have several faux fur pillows and throws in this room so I was thrilled to find stockings that complimented the space perfectly. I decided to go with this multi toned color, but they also have them in white fur as well. Plus matching tree skirts.

These rustic pinecone trees are my most favorite home accent and they come in a variety of different sizes. Needless to say, I use these all over our house to decorate of the holidays.

Beautifully styled Christmas decor for under $100!

Now at least one room of our house is cozy and ready for the upcoming holidays.
