DIY Floral Placecard Holders

in DIY/Crafts on 20/04/15

Hi Friends, today I am going to show you how to make these beautiful DIY Floral Placecard Holders and am including a free printable to go along with them. These are so simple and fun to make and they would be perfect for any celebration or occasion!

Simple and beautiful floral placecard holder. Perfect for weddings, showers, dinner parties, or really any event. So easy to make too.

As part of the FloraCraft team, our theme for the month is celebrations and I am excited to share this fun tutorial with you today. I love foam balls and use them for so many things, they are a must have for any crafter.

Supplies:

  • FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam Balls

  • Foam cutters or styrocutter

  • silk flowers

  • scissors

Simple and beautiful floral placecard holder. Perfect for weddings, showers, dinner parties, or really any event. So easy to make too.

First off, you’ll cut the foam ball so that it has a flat surface to stand. I sliced it with the foam cutter and then sanded it a little with the sanding too.

When you’re ball is ready, you’ll trim your flowers down. I left about 3″ of stem to stick into the foam.

Now you’ll start adding in the flowers. Just poke them in the foam until you cover the entire ball.

When you’ve got your holder full of flowers, you can stick in your placecard. I attached mine to a skewer.

These look really cute and would be really fun to have at a family dinner or something! I wonder if there are florist shops that make these sorts of things because I’m pretty bad at flower arranging. We are doing a reunion next month and having these would bring some real color to the table.
