Raspberry Ice Cream

in Desserts, Recipes on 20/08/14

It’s one of my favorite times of year here in the west when we are finally able to enjoy the fresh harvest. It’s quite cool most of the year so when summer hits I get excited for all the yummy local fruits and veggies being grown. There is just something about fresh local produce that makes me happy. The flavor and colors are so wonderful. I love to get Bear Lake Raspberries to eat fresh, make jams, and add to recipes. One of my favorite recipes is this delicious fresh Raspberry Ice Cream.

A few weeks ago I shared my favorite Old Fashioned Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe, if you haven’t tried it you must. It is definitely a fan favorite in our house. Sometimes we like to add in some toppings for new flavors. These fresh raspberries make this recipe over the top yum!  Plus, it is so simple. Just wash your raspberries and let dry a bit. Then add in your desired amount to your ice cream and mix together. Raspberries are a great addition and add the perfect tartness to the sweet ice cream.  So simple and so delicious, now thats my kind of recipe. 🙂 If your raspberries are a little too tart, you can add in a teaspoon of raspberry jam to help add some extra sweetness.
