Now that spring has arrived I’ve been eager to update a few areas of our home. On the top of my list has been my entryway. The entryway sets the tone for your home and is where your guests will form their first impressions. Not only did I want to create a beautiful and comfortable space, but I also wanted it to be functional. Adding in a bench where you can slip off your shoes and a rack to hang your jacket seemed like the obvious choice. While my style is always evolving, I wanted to go for a modern and cozy farmhouse feel.

Not only is this bench a great fit for the space, but I loved the modern finish and style.
While the wood is a dark oak stain, it also has metal accents that really take it up a notch.
This bench has a small front drawer to hold those little items like keys, sunglasses, etc. It also features an “X” design on the sides.
I wasn’t looking for a new rug, but when I came across this diamond rug at Walmart while shopping last week I couldn’t resist. The colors are perfect for my home and I love the added modern style of the diamonds.
Once I had the rug and bench in place, I was able to finish things off a few cute accents like this home pillow, throw, and rustic wood lantern.
I’m so pleased with how it all came together and how welcoming our home feels!
