DIY Washi Pencils & Binder Covers

in Crafts, DIY/Crafts, I heart Naptime on 18/08/14

I just can’t believe that we are already into the middle of August, this summer has just gone by so fast.  It’s going to be hard to leave our carefree summer days behind. This past week we spent a few days buying school supplies and working on getting ourselves all organized for school to start. Today I’m sharing these fun and easy DIY Washi Pencils and Binder Covers. Not only are they a fun and easy back to school craft you can make with your children but they are a fun adorable way to personalize your binders and pencils. Plus, you can switch out the binder covers for variety!

You’ll find the full tutorial and supplies list for these adorable binder covers over at I Heart Nap Time today. Be sure to go check it out.

You’ll only need two supplies to make these adorable pencils. Washi tape and a pencil! Just pick out your colors and/or pattern of washi tape and gently apply them to the outside of a clean pencil. (See process pics below) You’ll want to press down the washi tape as you wrap it around your pencil. You can then cut or gently tear it when you get it wrapped around the pencil. Super simple and super adorable! You may need to tear the washi tape as you sharpen your pencils if your sharpener isn’t sharp enough to cut through it.

Aren’t these just the cutest? Such a fun personalized back to school accessory!

I like to reuse binders but get bored pretty easy, so this idea is simply brilliant! I don’t have to keep investing in new binders; I can use what I have and just use some of these decorating tips! Thanks so for linking up at The Blogger’s Digest!
