Easy Sugar Cookie Recipe

in Desserts, Recipes on 01/12/14

If you’re like me you love sugar cookies but sometimes hate the hassle that goes into making them. Well, today I’ve got an easy recipe.

Easy and Delicious Sugar Cookie Recipe- perfect for those times when you want to make sugar cookies but don't want the hassle of difficult recipe.

 INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 Cup Butter, softened
  • 1/2 Cup shortening
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 Cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture. Roll out on lightly floured surface and cut out shapes. Place on greased baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. When cool you can frost or ice your cookies! I used the wilton royal icing recipe for these cookies. You can find the recipe here.

These are so cute and look so yummy! I make sugar cookies every year, so I know the work that goes into them. Maybe I’ll give this recipe a try this year!

They look so soft! Sugar cookies are one of my least favorites to make. I’m not very patient, so the decorating part usually doesn’t happen. 😛 These are cute, though!

Found you on the Party Bunch. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
